For the past few years, I've been thinking about masculinity and how it’s changing. The interior lives of men and the way society understands them have been evolving for some time now, but we’re entering a much richer chapter.

I first noticed this changing tide with a pattern in comedy. One after the other, male comedians were releasing hours dedicated to fatherhood, fertility, and IVF. Different comedians with different perspectives, all getting vulnerable about longing, fear, disappointment, and responsibility.

And I couldn’t help but wonder, how many more men have to drop deeply personal comedy specials before we realize what these stories are telling us?

Men have started to ask themselves more existential questions about ambition, identity, balance, and what it means to build a meaningful life beyond the roles we inherit. As those conversations become more visible, they're reshaping our collective understanding of adulthood, partnership, and purpose.

Sound familiar?

As women become primary earners and traditional roles continue to evolve, the equation changes in every direction. How we perceive ourselves, our emotional landscapes, and our responsibilities are all being renegotiated as the way we operate becomes less shaped by gender.

We're heading toward a "Men Are Good, Actually" cultural moment.

There is something so hot about men who want to build instead of dominate, who see leadership as a responsibility rather than a quest for power.

‘Nice guys finish first’ is the winning narrative of the future. We’re seeing it in politics. Zohran Mamdani, Abdul-El Sayed, good guys with good agendas who care about people. They project competence, empathy, and a believable desire to improve other people's lives. That’s hot.

In entertainment, shows like Off Campus are resonating because audiences want to see relationships built on trust and mutual respect. Men who are safe, emotionally available, and capable of vulnerability are, like, the hottest.

It all points towards a cultural evolution. While the work is not done, we’ve expanded what women are allowed to be. Femininity is more ambitious, more powerful, and more complex than ever before.

Now, we’re expanding what men are allowed to be.

We’re underway in redefining what masculinity means as it becomes more nurturing, more emotionally expressive, more relational, and ultimately, more whole.

The future sounds pretty great. I can't wait to see what kind of lives we all create from here. 🪄✨
