beauty x culture: glam is so back.
After years of “clean girl” minimalism, the forecast we’ve been predicting is finally here: full glam is so back, bb.
The comeback is more modern and refined; as every new iteration is. But this version of our ‘return to glam’ feels deeper than curation alone. It feels less about a look, and more about embodying a POV.
This moment in culture x beauty is about being for something.
It’s about standing for something, with your whole chest (and your whole face).
If everything is symbolism, then glitter across the lids feels like a return to something we misplaced between 2016 and 2025. Our integrity (lol); and our capacity for lightness.
We’re returning to values we’ve forgotten. We’re returning to joy; we’re returning to optimism. We’re rediscovering playfulness.
So, it makes sense why eye shadows are surging in popularity again.
I’ve embraced the comeback. Lately, some faves include:
Makeup by Mario Master Mattes Palette – The neutrals are chef’s kiss.
Patrick Ta Major Dimensions III– Love this one for sculpting definition.
Natasha Denona I Need A Nude – Perfect for the szn of love we’re in ❤️
Bring on the color!
I’m looking forward to leaning into a glittery, glossy, peachy-girl makeup aesthetic for SS26. Can’t wait. 🍑✨
